With 27 years of experience in Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service (retired February 2026), I established Evaluar Fire Consultancy to provide independent, high-quality fire safety advice and solutions to businesses, developers, landlords, and property owners across Cornwall and the South West.
Evaluar is an independent fire safety consultancy based in Cornwall. Our name means 'to evaluate or assess' in Spanish, reflecting my Spanish heritage and our commitment to thorough, insightful, and practical guidance.
I spent 14 years as a Fire Safety Enforcement Officer, specialising in regulatory compliance, fire engineering, and risk management. This included two years partnering with Private Sector Housing on HMOs and flats, plus providing formal consultations to Building Control and Licensing teams.
We provide clear, expert support to help you manage fire safety risks and systems in your buildings, ensuring full compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and all current guidance.
